ProMedia was started in 2010 by Joan Blaas (ProMedia CEO) in an attic room in Breda. We have grown from 1 title, 1 journalist, 1 IT professional and Joan into the publishing house and multimedia company in the field of mobility, traffic and transport in the Netherlands. Now we have over 20 titles, write in multiple languages, and our titles and events reach professionals around the world.
Over the past few years we have acquired several major titles and various branches were spread throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2020 we landed in the beautiful building of the Delftse Poort, located next to Rotterdam Central. Besides our office studios in Rotterdam, we also established another office in Antwerpen, Belgium. In addition, our employees work throughout the Netherlands, but also from Germany, Belgium, Turkey and even Bosnia.
At ProMedia, colleagues work together in three Business Units: Maritime & Transport, Mobility & Automotive and Rail & Infra. Professionals with specialized knowledge operate in their assigned units. Each Business Unit consists of a Business Unit Manager, an editorial team with several trade journalists, account managers and a product manager (responsible for events and subscriptions, among other things).
All teams have a high level of independence and we welcome creativity and fresh ideas.
The Maritime & Transport unit consists of the trade titles: Schuttevaer, Nieuwsblad Transport and Flows. Our editors keep the professionals informed with the latest developments in the industry through daily newsletters, newspapers and magazines. Publications cover the latest news in the transport and maritime sector with a focus on the Netherlands and Flanders.
The Mobility & Automotive unit consists of trade magazines Automotive and Fleet & Mobility; online titles TankPro, Pompshop, CarwashPro, RijschoolPro, Mobiliteits, Autoschadeportaal, Bandenportaal, Jobmotive and Chargeinfra. This unit has a strong focus on individual mobility and related infrastructure in the Dutch market, while its events reach audiences globally.
